Day 20 – Focus – 21 Days of Prayer

As you enter into Day 20 of this journey, I hope the Spirit of God has been filling you up with peace, joy, love and deeper revelation. Praise God for the way you are seeking Him earnestly and growing closer to Him through this physical act of obedience and sacrifice. There are great blessings and miracles that come from obedience. Stay strong. Keep going!

Today, our prayer focus is “Focus”. It’s been said that many people fail because of broken focus. As believers, our focus is should always be on Jesus. There’s a story when Peter and the disciples were out on the lake and they saw Jesus walking on the water. They thought He was a ghost at first…lol But then Jesus told them not to be afraid. Peter then asked, “If it’s you Lord, tell me to come to you on the water”. Peter was successfully walking on water to Jesus, then a strong wind came to distract him. He immediately began to sink. You see, Peter’s focus was broken because of doubt when the wind blew. It took him to a place of fear. Sometimes when we lose focus our faith is weak-end and we unfortunately doubt God— But when Jesus is the center of attention in our lives our faith is strong and our vision is clear.

As we come to the end of our corporate prayer and fasting, think about the things that might have caused you to lose focus in your life. Pray that God will bring you back to a place where Jesus is your only focus. When we focus on Him everything else is aligned to it’s perfect order.

Scripture:

“Jesus said to him, “ I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

‭‭~ JOHN‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

‭‭~ Matthew‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭

Prayer:

God thank you for always being there to guide us through this life on earth. Lord help us focus on keeping Your Son Jesus at the center of our hearts—For we know we can’t come to You Father except through Christ. The world might be busy but our minds will be steadfast in You as we focus on Truth. Lord please continue to direct our path as we trust fully in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
