We have made it to Day 10 of our Prayer and Fasting journey! Hope in this. Jesus went on a 40 Day fast in the wilderness and was tempted the whole time. Though He was weak during that fast He came out strong and able to face the monumental task God had assigned to Him.
Today, we will be praying for peace. There are so many issues that life throws at us and tries to steal our peace. But the Word says that we can find peace in Jesus. The bible also says that we God will keep us in perfect peace if our minds are steadfast, trusting in Him (Isaiah 26). How wonderful is it to know that no matter discouraging or trying our circumstances are, we can find peace in Jesus! We are believing that God will provide peace for not only us but our friends, family members, co-workers, managers, and everyone at our children’s school. Peace in people = peaceful atmosphere.
If you’d like to read more about finding peace in Jesus, read this blog post I wrote back in January. I pray that it blesses and encourages anyone who reads it.

Prayer:
Father God, today I humbly come before you asking that You give Your people peace that surpasses understanding. There are people who are hurting in ways I’ve never been hurt, feeling pains I’ve never felt, facing tough circumstances that I’ve never had to face. Lord, I pray that Your people draw nearer to you during times of uncertainty, anxiety, stress, pain and sorrow. God we don’t always understand why certain trials happen but Your word tells us that You will never leave or forsake us and to consider it pure joy because tested faith produces perseverance. We also ask for peace all over the world. Move nations to choose love and peace over fear. May Your people continue to find their peace in Your son, Jesus, remain steadfast and trust in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Scriptures:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
~John 16:33
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
~Isaiah 26:3
